Moose Creek Reservoir - Dinghies

This beautiful little reservoir is about 40 miles east of Moscow, Idaho. At only 10-15 feet deep, it’s shallow, yet holds an impressive amount of fish. Muskrats and beavers live along this reservoir. There is a primitive gravel boat launch with dock, and nearby accessible restroom, with no running water. There is no beach, but people who come to this reservoir to swim do so from various sites along the banks. There is camping available around this lake, with the main campground with host on its north shore. Moose Creek Reservoir is a good lake for kayaking or dinghy sailing, and of course, fishing. This is a no-motor lake. Directions: From Moscow Idaho on HWY 95, take HWY 8 east almost all the way to Bovill Idaho; watch for the sign to Moose Creek Reservoir on Moose Creek Road, then follow this road to the reservoir. Spring Valley Reservoir - Dinghies

Spring Valley Reservoir is located in a forested valley not far from Troy, Idaho off of HWY 8. An earthen dam creates a half-mile-long reservoir popular with locals for fishing, swimming, and general boating fun. This is a no-wake lake, and no personal watercraft are allowed on this reservoir. There are several fishing docks and a small island to fish from. One gravel launch with dock gives access to the lake. Fee camping sites with fire pits and running water near the restrooms are available. There is one sand volley ball court and a hiking trail that travels around the lake. Fishing: Info coming soon. Directions: From Moscow Idaho on HWY 95, take HWY 8 east all the way to Troy Idaho. Remain on HWY 8, going up a large hill and then descending a little on the other side of this hill, and to your left/north you will see the access sign to this reservoir (Spring Valley Rd.). Follow the road to Spring Valley Reservoir.
